Dhaulagiri from Baglung, 1996

On the 1996 trek we spent the first night in Baglung. Morning dawned with a stunning view of Dhaulagiri and the promise of a beautiful day. In 1982, when I was first in Nepal, there were no roads west of Pokhara. Currently, this road extends north of Baglung to Beni. The Chinese are building it and plan to expand the road to Mustang. This must not happen!!
